about

"I met Darian Stahl in a field in late 2014. We were 18. We were both freshmen in college in the high desert of Santa Fe. I had only just begun to write songs. He had been writing songs for years, though was only concerned with writing poetry at that present moment.

We walked up to his dorm room. He asked me "do you have a song to play?" I did not. I had some chords, a bit of a lyric, not a song. But, like magic, I played a whole, complete song for him.

In turn, Darian and I began writing songs at breakneck speeds for the following year. Songs that referenced one another, songs that seemed to come from the same wellspring. This spring grew and shrank and grew as the years went on, as we moved through our lives. But it is always there.

This EP is an example of how Darian and I channel each other through songwriting, production, and love. It is a song cycle, "a set of related songs, often on a romantic theme, intended to form a single musical entity."

More than anything, this EP is a testament of the power of love and devotion to Another.

We are sharing it because we believe active devotion to others is the key to life on this Earth. In that spirit, all proceeds will go to the Lucy Parsons Center 2021 reopening fund. fundrazr.com/d1lV8c?ref=ab_6RFOOyQOFPn6RFOOyQOFPncredits
